MACON, Ga. — It’s been the Richard LeCounte show in the first half, as the junior guard’s 14 points has paced Liberty County to a 26-22 halftime lead.

The story, in addition to LeCounte’s play on offense has been the way the Panthers have slowed down Jonesboro star M.J. Walker who has had to work hard for his nine first half points.

The Liberty County backcourt has been a couple steps quicker than Jonesboro, at least for the first half. And Panthers sophomore Will Richardson has been a bit of a surprise in his tough defense on Walker and timely shooting.

Jonesboro was down by as many as nine points at one point, but they weathered the storm to keep the game manageable at the break.
